Roger Wotton

After a career spent in the Oil industry Roger then worked as a consultant for several years. After 43 years of  full-time working he decided to call it a day, and this also coincided with prostate cancer diagnosis. He has thrown himself into prostate cancer work  and is actively working with Tackle Prostate Cancer as well as being secretary of our group.  In his (limited) spare time he enjoys woodworking, travelling and country pursuits.

 

 

 

 David Barrow

David Barrow

Following a successful career in military intelligence David joined industry and leveraged his extensive leadership skills gained from military service.  Much of his career in industry has been in developing long term relationships with large complex customer organisations, delivering E2E solutions and services, which have extended across geographic and cultural boundaries.  

He has worked for several international corporate players including Airbus Defence, Nortel Networks DEC computers and Racal Electronics.His domain expertise covers intelligence, cyber security, information assurance and counter terrorism.  He has worked in support of several government departments and national and international law enforcement organisations.  Recently he has served as part of an industry advisory group to a lead UK government department concerned with the protection of Critical National Infrastructure. 

He also participated in a Cyber Horizon scan for the UK Cabinet Office and the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance.David is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the Royal United Services Institute and the Global Corporate Executive Programme.

 

Brian Cole

Having failed his ambition to be a professional cricketer (highest score 57!), Brian took up an auctioneer’s gavel when qualifying as a chartered surveyor. Eons later he became a principal international auctioneer and director of Christie’s and spent some twenty years based in the USA. Here he was involved in many record breaking auctions including those related to Elvis Presley, Liberace, Cecil B De Mille and many others. On being diagnosed with prostate cancer, he had surgery in Los Angeles, later semi-retiring back to England. Brian lives in Haddenham with his wife Hazel, also a survivor of cancer.

Commenced professional life as a teacher in the early 1960's. After 12 very enjoyable years transferred to local government. During the following 25 years served a number of London Boroughs looking after their leisure departments. During this period became a part time university lecture lecturing in Leisure Management
